MY TOOLBOX (WEB-APPLICATIONS)
A collection of useful tools for various hydrology and hydraulics calculations.
The tools are web-based implementations of various tools originally developed for
teaching and research.
Many of the tools evolved from spreadsheets developed from 1990-present, but were re-factored to run through a web-browser.
The toolbox is a component of an on-going development and testing platform for server-side deployments of computer programs.
The toolbox is being repaired because I needed to change web hosts and the transition broke a lot of the tools. Check back as the tools are repaired and put back into service.
Linear Interpolation between Ordered Pairs A simple tool to linearly interpolate between values. Useful for testing other program outputs. Useful for one-of linear interpolation of tabulated values.
Intensity (Logarithmic) Interpolation For use with NOAA PFDS to estimate depth/intensities at arbitrary durations from point rainfall-frequency values
Convert Various Units A simple tool to convert units between US and SI units, mostly close approximations.
Simple Contour Map Tool
Tool to read XYZ files and generate contour plots using inverse distance
interpolation with user-directed smoothing.
Filled Contour Map Tool
A simple tool to read XYZ files, generate an image (raster), and overlay a contour plot onto the raster.
Uses inverse distance interpolation/extrapolation with user-directed smoothing, and quadratic adjustment to
maintain min/max/median relationships with input data cloud
EBDLKUP-2015 and TXHYETO-2015 A report and spreadsheet tool that implements updated EBD values for rainfall intensity estimation (by county) for 2yr to 100 yr ARI and for arbitrary durations up to 24 hours. TXHYETO-2015 is a companion tool that implements the Texas Hyetograph to approximate cumulative hyetographs for use in HEC-HMS models.
Texas DDF Atlas A web-based map server that serves Texas DDF Atlas maps for estimating storm depths and rainfall intensity.
Texas Regression Equations A web-based tool implementing the Texas-specific regression equations for estimating discharge on undeveloped watersheds in Texas.
EBDUSA Prototype of Nationwide EBD Tool
Rational Runoff Equation (US Customary Units) A web-based calculator to compute peak discharge from a drainage area using the rational equation.
Rational Runoff Equation (SI Units) A web-based calculator to compute peak discharge from a drainage area using the rational equation.
Convert CFS into IN/HR A web-based calculator to convert discharge (CFS) into watershed intentsity (IN/HR).
Solids in Rivers A web-based tool that implements a Z-score distance weighted search of a solids flux database to estimate the solids flux in rivers from a minimal hydraulic description and mean grain diameter.
QUAL2 On-Line On-line implementation of EPA QUAL2E computer program. The program is deprecated and replaced by WASP, but still useful if you have old imput files. The program can be run in a batch sequence (that's what it is here for) for certain kinds of management modeling.
USGS-MOC On-Line On-Line implementation of USGS-MOC groundwater contaminant transport model. The program is deprecated, but still useful if you have old input files.
New Analytical Numerical Transport modeling System (NewANTS) Code under development to restore the ANTS Toolkit using Python and server-side processing.

EPANET2 On-Line Server-side implementation of EPANET (uses 2.00.12 source code). Input file (.inp) is uploaed to server for running simulation. User needs to know how to configure the .inp file to produce useful output files. Uploads require authentication.
Trapezoidal Channel Hydraulic Characteristics (US Customary Units) A web-based calculator to compute hydraulic characteristics for a trapezoidal channel.
